The Eureka Springs Police Department has begun an investigation into a possible attempt to steal Credit Card Numbers from customers using Gas Pumps at a convenience store.

Police Chief Brian Young says in a Press Release that his department was notified by a technician at Rapid Roberts in Eureka Springs that a device had been installed at the Gas Pumps by a third party. Chief Young says it appears to be a malicious device that may have been installed with the intent to record Credit Card Numbers and Keystrokes.

It is not known how long ago the device was installed.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing according to Chief Young.
