Protesters Take BLM Message to Zinc, Home of KKK National Director

by: Samantha Boyd, KNWA/Ozarks First

Area residents come together to march in Zinc in east-central Boone County in protest of the Ku Klux Klan and show support for Black Lives Matter.

Zinc is the home of the National Director of the KKK Thomas Robb.

In a Facebook post, Ozarks Hate Watch says participants marched in protest to a KKK compound Sunday.

A caravan left northwest Arkansas Sunday morning at 10:00 to join the protest.

Other online reports indicate that some protesters came from areas around Springfield and Branson. Several videos and social media reports showed protesters holding up signs as well as some local residents that were armed, but no incidents were reported. Boone County Sheriffs Deputies were on hand to monitor the protest and response.
