As August begins, the number of COVID-19 Cases in the region continues to be on the rise. The numbers as of late Sunday:
The Taney County Health Department is now reporting a total of 329 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with another 72 under investigation. 103 have recovered leaving 222 active cases. There have been four deaths due to COVID-19 in the county.
Meanwhile the Stone County Health Department is reporting 84 COVID-19 cases with 49 having recovered from the virus. Currently, 34 cases are still active with one death.
The latest report of total cases from Barry County has the number at 228 with 170 having recovered so far. The Barry County Health Department did report its first COVID related death last week. Meanwhile, the Ozark County Health Department is reporting seven cases of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the latest numbers from the Arkansas Department of Health indicate Boone County up to a total of 170 cases with 95 recoveries. Currently, 74 cases are still active with one death.
In Carroll County, the current numbers are 340 total with 296 recoveries and 38 active cases. Carroll County has reported six deaths due to COVID-19.
Newton County, which had a surge earlier in July, has reported three deaths in the last week due to COVID-19. Total cases are at 94 with 71 active and 21 recoveries.
Other surrounding County Numbers include Marion County with 23 total cases, 17 of which have recovered and Searcy County with 25 total cases, 22 of which have recovered.
