School Districts around the Lakes Region are formulating their plans to get the upcoming school year underway with the COVID-19 Virus still prevalent in the area.
Officials in Reeds Spring shared their Back-to-School Plan with families on Thursday which is the result of work by officials getting input from the community and school staff members as well as guidance from the Stone County Health Department and other health officials.
According to the plan, students can attend classes at school or choose to learn virtually from home. Students in grades 5-12 will be required to wear masks, while students in grades K-4 have the option to wear masks. Any student who rides a bus will be required to wear a mask, and all staff members will wear masks.
There will be several exceptions to the mask requirements including physical activities, eating and drinking, and documented medical conditions.
The first day of school is scheduled to be Tuesday August 25.
