MSHP, SSCFPD Work Accidents on the Water Saturday

by: Scott McCaulley

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked an accident on Table Rock Lake around the James River Area in Stone County Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4:40 near Point 10 when a Jet Ski driven by a minor female hit a wave ejected the passenger from the Jet Ski.

That passenger, 42-year-old Kelly Denny of Ozark, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

Meanwhile the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, who assisted with the incident at James River, also worked a Water Rescue at the Rope Swing where a female in her 40’s was reported to have broken her leg. The Patient was taken by the SSCFPD Boat to a dock near Little Aunts Creek Road and eventually was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
