The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region Friday night.
The first accident happened in Stone County on Hooten Town Road near Highway U when a Sports Utility Vehicle driven 23-year-old Wyatt Biggs of Springfield went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Biggs was not injured but a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Meiya Hallmark of Springfield, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The second accident took place around 9:45 when a motorcycle failed to stop at a traffic signal and struck a truck. The driver of the truck was not injured but the motorcyclist, 25-year-old Easton Brock of Harrison, sustained moderate injuries and was also taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
