Harrison to Consider Face Mask Ordinance

by: Scott McCaulley

The City of Harrison at their Thursday City Council Committee Meeting will consider an Ordinance designed to help City Businesses that wish to impose a Face Mask Requirement.

The Ordinance if passed would allow Law Enforcement to aid businesses who wish to require their customers to wear Face Masks to help with education but also to help a business owner enforce the requirement if needed. Businesses would be mailed a copy of the Ordinance that could be posted in their business if they wish.

The Ordinance follows guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health and by Governor Asa Hutchinson that allows City’s to enact such ordinance should they chose to do so.
