Two People Die In UTV vs. Van Crash in Christian County

Two people are dead with two others injured after a traffic crash on Highway 125 in Chadwick.

According to the online report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:50 Sunday night when an U.T.V. driven by 24-year-old Hunter Daugherty of Chadwick attempted to pass the vehicle in front of it and collided head on with a van driven by 36-year-old Casey Hull of Forsyth.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by Christian County Coroner Amanda Armitage while a passenger in the U.T.V., 34-year-old Nathan Sanders of Sparta, and in the van, 30-year-old Nina Decker of Stockton, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. None of the people involved were wearing seat belts according to the accident report.

The Fatalities are the 50th and 51st for Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2020.
