Taney County Judicial Center Requiring Masks in the Building

by: Scott McCaulley

Taney County Judge Jeff Merrell issues an Administrative Order last week adding the wearing of a Face Mask inside the Taney County Judicial Center in Forsyth to the pre-entry screening for those wishing to enter the facility.

The order went into effect last Friday, a day after the Taney County Health Department Board passed a Resolution urging all Taney County Citizens to wear a mask in enclosed public areas.

Merrill’s order states that all visitors will be required to wear a mask in the common areas of the facility unless granted permission by the Judge presiding over business in his Courtroom.

Members of the staff will be allowed to not wear the mask in their own office areas but will be required when working with the public and in common areas.

The order will remain in effect until further notice.
