Heat Advisories Posted for the Lakes Region Wednesday

The warmest temperatures of the year are expected in the Lakes Region Wednesday as the National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for several areas.

A Heat Advisory goes into effect for the Missouri Lakes Region including Taney, Stone, Barry, and Ozark Counties from Noon until 8:00 pm while the Arkansas Lakes Region including Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties are under an advisory until 7:00 pm with Carroll and Madison Counties under an advisory until 8:00 pm.

Temperatures in the Lakes Region will be in the 90’s with Head Index Readings expected between 100 and 110.

The Weather Service as well as area Health Departments have issued reminders to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activities during the heat of the day.
