Farmington Golfer Wins Missouri Amateur Championship

Nick Westrich of Farmington emerges as the winner of the weeklong Missouri Amateur Golf Championship at the Ozarks National Course in Hollister, winning Sunday’s Championship Match 5 & 4 over Maxwell Kreikemeier of Chesterfield.

The two golfers took to the course for the scheduled 36 Hole Match with Kreikemeier leading for the final five holes of the front nine with Westrich tying the match on the 10th hole then taking the lead on the 12th hole and didn’t relinquish it the rest of the match claiming the title winning the 32nd hole to claim a five stroke win.

Westrich is a golfer at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg and will be a Junior this coming school year.
