Taney County COVID-19 Surge Continues, 11 More Cases Over 24 Hours

TCHD confirms 11 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The total case count for Taney County is 54. Investigation continues on two of these cases and information will be released as it becomes available. Many of these cases are community spread, and the TCHD is urging everyone to wear a face covering or mask, follow social distancing guidelines and stay home if you are sick. Locations visited include:

Sunday, June 21st
New Beginnings Fellowship in Hollister – 9:30 am (unmasked)
MoMo Sushi & Grill in Branson – 3:00 pm (unmasked)

Wednesday, June 24th
Target in Branson – 2:30 pm (masked)

Thursday, June 25th
Target Starbucks in Branson – 2:45 pm (masked)

If you were at any of these locations during this time, please monitor for symptoms. If symptoms do develop, please notify your healthcare provider for further consultation.

Symptoms include:
Fever or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting

Individuals can also register for the free Branson Community Testing event by calling 1-877-435-8411.

As the number of positive cases continues to rise, in the community, the TCHD strongly encourages community residents and visitors to take measures to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
