OOI Offering Housing Assistance in Baxter, Searcy Counties

From: KTLO

Housing assistance is now available in Baxter and Searcy counties through the COVID-19 Relief program administered through Ozark Opportunities, Inc. (OOI).

The program assists with rent deposits, first month’s rent, utility deposits and late/past due rent to avoid eviction.

To qualify individuals must reside in either Baxter or Searcy county, must be COVID-19 impacted, meaning laid off from employment or having hours reduced due to the pandemic, must make 30% or less of the area median income or must have either a place located to rent, if needing help with new housing, or have received a late rent or eviction notice, if in an existing home.

For more information, contact either the Baxter County OOI outreach office at 870-425-5118 or the Searcy County numbers, 870-448-2414, 501-757-0155, or 870-741-2089.
