Around 03:30 Sunday morning, Engine 3, Engine 1, Truck 2 and Battalion 3 responded for a reported residential structure fire. While units were still enroute, Dispatch advised multiple apartments were involved and the caller was unsure if everyone was out of the building. Battalion 3 immediately struck a 2nd Alarm which brought Chief 1, Chief 2, Chief 4, Fire Marshal 1, as well as two Engines, a Ladder Truck, and a Chief Officer from Western Taney County Fire Protection District.
On arrival, Companies found heavy fire involvement on the second floor with flames through the roof. Crews from Engine 3 and Engine 1 stretched hand lines, and Truck 2 set up the aerial master stream for fire attack. Once the main body of fire was knocked down with the aerial, crews finished extinguishing the fire with hand lines.
There were no injuries reported, and all occupants were out of the building on arrival. At least three people were displaced by the fire, and the cause is still under investigation.
Taney County Ambulance provided an ambulance for medical standby, and Branson Police Officers provided traffic control. Fire suppression units operated on scene for nearly 2 and a half hours. Investigation units cleared the scene approximately 30 minutes later.
