TCHD, SCHD Investigating Possible COVID-19 Outbreak at Branson Restaurant

by: Scott McCaulley (From Press Releases)

Two area Health Departments are teaming up to investigate a possible COVID-19 Outbreak at Tequila 2 Restaurant in Branson.

Below is a press release issued by the Taney County Health Department and then the statement released on the Tequila 2 Facebook Page:

TCHD
The Taney County Health Department (TCHD), in conjunction with the Stone County Health Department (SCHD), is investigating a possible COVID-19 outbreak at Tequila 2 on Gretna Road in Branson.

TCHD thanks Tequila 2 for voluntarily and immediately closing after being alerted to the suspected outbreak and for their future cooperation as both health departments work to identify exposed individuals and possible dates of exposure for the public.

At this time, TCHD asks all Tequila 2 employees that suspect they have been in close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case to quarantine at home and to refrain from leaving their home for any reason other than to receive medical care.

This investigation is ongoing; more information will be released as it becomes available.

TCHD would like to remind the public of the importance of seeking testing if they have the symptoms of COVID-19.

Tequila 2
Out of caution and concern for our employees and customers, we are voluntarily closing our restaurant temporarily, due to an employee testing positive for Covid -19. We have taken all precautions provided by the health department in cleaning and sanitizing the entire restaurant to make sure everyone is safe. The employee was not working when they started to show symptoms. To try and stop the spread of the virus, all employees are being quarantined, tested, and checked on daily by the health department. We will follow the guidelines set by CDC and Health Department as to how long we will remain closed. We look forward to opening the entire dining room as soon as all quarantined employees are tested and cleared to return to work. Thank you for your understanding, the safety of our customers and employees is our main concern and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
