by: Scott McCaulley

A woman from Crane escapes without injury after a crash on Interstate 44 in Jasper County that involved three vehicles late Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the car driven by 54-year-old Marci Roberts was the third vehicle hit in the three vehicle chain reaction accident started when a tractor trailer truck driven by 54-year-old Terry Steeley of Springfield failed to observe traffic slowing ahead of it on I-44 near Sarcoxie when his truck struck the rear of a car driven by 39-year-old Kelly Dickson of West Fork, Arkansas. The force of the collision then forced Dickson’s car into the car driven by Roberts.

Neither Roberts or Steeley were reported to suffer any injuries however Dickson sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for treatment.
