More COVID-19 Cases have been reported in the Lakes Region:
Late Thursday Afternoon, Taney County Health Department Director Lisa Marshall announces three more cases of COVID-19 in bringing the total in the county to 30, currently 15 active cases. Marshall says specific information on the latest three cases will be released today on the Taney County Health Department Facebook Page.
Stone County has seen increased numbers this week as Stone County Health Department Director Pam Burnett announces the eighth case of COVID on Wednesday then on Thursday afternoon, and announcement of two more cases bringing the county total to 10. According to Burnett, all three of these individuals were a close contact with individuals who previously have been confirmed cases of the virus and have been quarantined.
Barry County also announces new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday as in a release, the department announces four new cases bringing the county total to 28, 17 currently active. Of the new cases announced, two of them had been a previous contact with individuals who also has the virus.
Carroll County has reached 100 cases of COVID-19 with 56 currently active while Boone County current sits at 10 total cases three of which are currently active.
Health officials are continuing to encourage individuals to practice Social Distancing, practice good Hand Hygiene, and wear Masks, especially in closed spaces.
