The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District teams-up with the Missouri Highway Patrol to work a pair of incidents on Table Rock Lake over the weekend including a near drowning on Sunday.
That incident happened just after 3:30 in the afternoon at Joe Bald Park near Kimberling City when a two-year-old female was found unconscious floating face down in the Lake. The information provided on the online report from the Missouri Highway Patrol indicates that the girl was given CPR on the scene and began breathing again. The girl was taken by her parents to Cox Medical Center in Branson for further evaluation and treatment.
On Saturday afternoon, Emergency Responders were called onto Table Rock Lake near Kimberling City for reports of a man injured after his Waverunner ran into a wake knocking him off of the Waverunner and eventually being hit by the Waverunner. SSCFPD reports on their Facebook Page, the driver suffered a broken leg and was eventually taken to the Port of Kimberling Dock where he was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment. The MSHP Report identifies the man as 42-year-old Reno Coda of St. Louis with the report saying he suffered moderate injuries in the incident.
SSCFD District personnel worked two other calls starting with a report of a fuel leak on a Houseboat at Port of Kimberling Marina Friday afternoon. With an assist from Tow Boats US, the vehicle was pulled away from the Marina and filled with foam to prevent ignition.
The other call happened late Saturday night on Joe Bald Road for a report of a major medical emergency involving a male in his 60’s. Mercy Life Line was called out of Branson West to assist but the patient was eventually transported by Ground Ambulance to Cox Medical Center Branson for treatment. No other details were released on the incident.
