A woman from Spokane has died after her Kayak capsized on Bull Creek late Tuesday afternoon.
The Western Taney County Fire Protection District reports on their Facebook Page that their Technical Rescue Team were dispatched to Bull Creek near Elizabeth Lane just before 4:00 after some teenagers floating Bull Creek had come across a man asking for help after he and his wife had capsized their kayak and she was missing. The man had eventually found his wife while units were on the way to the scene and was performing CPR on her. Fire personnel and later Taney County Ambulance personnel continued CPR but the woman was eventually pronounced dead by Taney County Assistant Coroner Bryan Koppitz.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the incident and along with Taney County Coroner Tony Mullen in a Press Release, identified the woman as 64-year-old Rita Farrell of Spokane.
