MSHP Works Accidents Involving Area Residents

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of accidents involving Lakes Area Residents Tuesday afternoon.

The first occurred on Highway 76 east of Branson around 2:00 when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old James McTaggert of Branson was westbound on 76 and collided with a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Mary Westerhold also of Branson. The online crash report indicates McTaggert’s vehicle failed to yield causing the collision. McTaggert sustained moderate injuries while Westerhold suffered minor injuries with both being treated at Cox Medical Center in Branson.

The second accident occurred on Highway 65 south of Ozark just after 3:30 and involved a couple from Harrison. The accident report indicates that a pick-up truck was southbound on 65 when it traveled off the roadway and struck a ditch. The couple, Lon and Patricia Cockman, both 73, sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospitial in Springfield.
