FCA Announces High School Christian Athletes of the Year

by: Scott McCaulley

The South Central Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter has announced the 2020 Male and Female High School Christian Athletes of the Year.

Kathryn Anderson of Crane and Nathan Garnett of Blue Eye each receive a $1000 Scholarship named in honor of longtime Lakes Area Businessman and FCA Supporter Jerry Lilly.

The winners are selected by a panel that judges based on their upholding the values of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Organization.

Anderson, who participated in Cross Country and Track at Crane, plans to attend the College of the Ozarks in the fall.

Garnett, who participated in Basketball and Track at Blue Eye, plans to attend Evangel University this fall.

The presentation of the awards usually takes place during the annual FCA Awards Banquet in April but that was cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This year’s presentation was made via a Youtube Video  which also contains more information on the award.
