COVID-19: Two More Cases in Stone County, More in Northern Arkansas

More areas of the Lakes Region are seeing increased number of COVID-19 Cases.

Wednesday, the Stone County Health Department announces the County’s sixth and seventh confirmed cases of COVID-19.  According to a Facebook Post from the Health Department, the individuals who tested positive are close contacts to a confirmed out of county case of COVID-19. The Health Department has monitored these individuals since their date of exposure to the confirmed case. Since their date of exposure they have been quarantined at home and have not visited any locations or exposed the community.

Taney County remains at 13 confirmed cases with two active cases while Barry County currently reports all 11 of their cases have recovered.

Neighboring Christian County reported three new cases on Wednesday bringing the total up to 34 cases with nine currently active.

In Arkansas, both Carroll and Madison Counties continue to see increased numbers. Both counties report 29 cases with 21 currently active in Carroll County and 24 in Madison County. Marion County also has added a new active case to the other case which has already recovered. Boone County is still holding at six confirmed cases with two still active. All three reported cases in Newton County have recovered.
