Southern Stone County Fire Protection Works Incidents On Land, Water

The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District keeps busy over the last few days working several incidents according to information from the District’s Facebook Page.

On Friday, Firefighters were called to Old Mill Road in Lampe for a report of a male unconscious 20 feed away from an ATV. SSCFPD was assisted by the Missouri Highway Patrol, who identified the victim as 57-year-old Stephen Stewart of Odessa, Florida. Stewart was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his serious injuries.

On Saturday, Firefighters along with Kimberling City Police and Mercy EMS were on the scene as a boat with Tow Boat US Table Rock brought in a female who had been injured on the lake. She was in stable condition when transported to an area hospital by EMS.

Then on Sunday, Firefighters were called to a marina near Talking Rocks for a report of a Boat Fire just before 1:00 pm. Two people reported to be on the boat escaped without injury. The MSHP was also on the scene and reported the fire was out before 1:15.
