While an end to the rain seems to be near, water levels in the Lakes Region continue to be high.

The Beaver Bridge in Northern Carroll County is closed due to water over the road leading to the bridge plus water over part of the structure itself. Several County Roads in both Missouri and Arkansas remain closed due to High Water.

Water continues to be released from the Beaver Dam on the West End of the White River Basin as well as from the Bull Shoals Dam on the east end. Water had been released as well from the Norfork Dam but according to the Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the gates on that dam were closed on Wednesday.

Corps Officials will continue to monitor the situation and announce further action which could include the reopening of some gates on the Table Rock Dam.

A round of Showers and Thunderstorms kept the water levels on the rise on Wednesday which also included a brief period of Severe Thunderstorms that produced Dime Size Hail in the Taneyville Area according to a report to the National Weather Service Office in Springfield.

A couple of rounds of Showers and Thunderstorms are possible in the region today then, an extended dry period is expected with no rain in the forecast starting Friday into the middle of next week.
