On a day where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were making then revising plans based on rainfall amounts and locations, the Corps eventually opens the gates on two more of the Dams in the White River Basin according to a release on Corps’ Little Rock District Facebook Page.
After opening the Norfork Dam late last week, on Tuesday afternoon Flood Gates were opened on the Bull Shoals Dam and later at the Beaver Dam.
Including Hydropower Generation, the total release from Bull Shoals Dam is around 13,250 cubic feet per second while from Beaver Dam, the release is around 7500 c.f.s.
The Table Rock Dam Gates remain closed at this time though officials will continue to monitor the situation with an opening of the Dam Gates still possible.
