Rain Pelts Lakes Region Over the Weekend

by: Scott McCaulley

Rainfall amounts in excess of four inches in some areas hit the Lakes Region over the weekend.

Numerous low water crossings were covered due to constant rain. As of Monday Morning, Highway 76 west of Bradleyville remains closed due to high water according to the Missouri Department of Transportation with several other state roads in Christian, Douglas, and Ozark Counties also closed.

Several other roads in Taney County are still closed due to flood waters. Click here for a list of the current closings from the Taney County Government Web Site.

A Flood Advisory is still in effect for Central and Eastern Taney County until 11:30 with all of Douglas and Ozark Counties as well as Southeastern Christian County still under the advisory as well.

Except for a slight chance of Isolated Showers today, this week should be relatively dry in the Lakes Region with the next chance of rain on Sunday.
