MSHP Works A Pair of Accidents involving Vehicles Overturning Over the Weekend

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responds to a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region over the weekend in which vehicles left the roadway and overturned.

The first happened Saturday around 3:10 Saturday afternoon on Highway 65 just north of Branson when a southbound vehicle left the highway and overturned. The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Julio Cota of Ozark, escaped with minor injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The other accident occurred in Barry County near the Stone County Line Sunday evening round 8:15. Troopers report this vehicle overturned on Highway TT five miles west of Crane. The driver, 18-year-old Eliza Hohgrefe of Aurora, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Two passengers in the car were also injured with 18-year-old Christopher Thornburg of Joplin flown for treatment of his serious injuries to Mercy in Springfield while a 16 year old Juvenile from Branson was taken by private vehicle to Cox Medical Center Branson for treatment of minor injuries.
