by: Scott McCaulley

Two men from Carroll County are arrested in Stone County early Wednesday Morning on suspicion of being involved in several burglaries in the area.

A release from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook Page indicates deputies located a truck pulling a trailer matching the description of one involved in the burglaries around 1:00 Wednesday Morning on Nauvoo Road near Highway 86. Two men and a female were in the vehicle with one of the males matching the description of person of interest in a recent Storage Shed Burglary.

The women was eventually released but the two males, 48-year-old Jason Edmondson of Eureka Springs and 42-year-old Shane Stephenson of Berryville, were kept in custody. A Search Warrant was later issued for the truck and pick-up and items were discovered believed to be stolen from an earlier burglary in Carroll County.

Edmondson and Stephenson were charged Class D Felony Burglary, Class D Felony Stealing and Class D Felony Receiving Stolen Property.

This investigation is ongoing. Stone County Law Enforcement officials encourage anyone that is missing property recently to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 417-357-6116.
