Counties in Southern Missouri including the Lakes Region Counties of Barry, Stone, Taney, and Ozark Counties will be under a Flood Watch starting at 9:00 PM this evening and continue through Tuesday afternoon.
A statement released by the Weather Service this afternoon indicates an axis
of 1 to 2 inches of rain is becoming more likely along and near a line from Columbus Kansas to West Plains Missouri. This widespread rain will likely lead to flooding of several flood prone county and state low water crossings. A few larger rivers could also
exceed flood stage.
A series of systems will bring a chance of rain nearly every day this week to the region, though warmer temperatures are expected starting on Wednesday.
