City of Branson’s Emergency Guidelines to Remain in Place through May 15

by: Scott McCaulley

While Missouri Governor Mike Parson announces the plan to begin easing restrictions and phasing in a reopening of some Missouri Businesses, the City of Branson issues a statement Friday reminding residents that the Ordinance passed by the City of Branson in March regarding public gatherings, social distancing, essential and non-essential business remains in effect until May 15 for the City of Branson.

Mayor Edd Akers said in an interview on KRZK’s “At Your Service” Program last week that the plan right now is try and get a meeting of the Board of Alderman scheduled for some time in May.

The release from the City on Friday did not mention any plans to reconsider or revise the Ordinance date to match the State Date of May 4 announced by the Governor on Thursday.
