CBCO Seeking Plasma From Recovered COVID-19 Patients

by: Scott McCaulley

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has began to collect Plasma from recovered COVID-19 Patients in hopes of helping those currently fighting the virus.

Chris Pilgrim from CBCO visited KRZK’s “At Your Service” Program Friday morning to talk about the theory behind using the Plasma.

Pilgrim also spoke about the currently supply in the Blood Bank being good as the number of donors at the Blood Centers in Springfield, Joplin, Bentonville, and Springdale have been up but that trend needs to continue.

Pilgrim notes while most Remote Blood Drives have been called off, there will be a Blood Drive in Branson on Wednesday April 29 at Tri-Lakes Christian Church.
