At last week’s Harrison City Committee Meetings, several items were moved forward from the Finance Committee to next week’s regular City Council Meeting.
A total of five amendments were considered for moving forward. Three were approved, $50,000 for the Police Department for Maintenance that was omitted from the Final Budget, money put forth to get a fund set up for the Crooked Creek Study, and money set aside to purchase a second new pump for the Main Lift Station for the Waste Water Treatment. Council had earlier approved the purchase of one pump but a second one has gone down since that time.
Two amendments that were postponed until later in the year were a pair of Water Line Projects that Public Works Director Wade Phillips said can be postponed until the COVID-19 Virus spreads subsides.
The Council Members all discussed the importance of watching expenditures as Revenue is expected to begin dropping as the effects of the COVID-19 Virus on the Economy takes hold.
