The Barry County Health Department has confirmed a second case of the COVID-19 Virus in the county just as it released information Tuesday that the first case has recovered.
BCHD released information on their Facebook Page Tuesday that the first individual with the virus in the county had recovered and had been symptom free for three days. Late Wednesday afternoon however, BCHD confirmed to the Cassville Democrat that a second positive test had been reported which is believed to be travel related.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the other Lakes Area Counties remained at the same number of positive cases. In Taney County, Health Department Director Lisa Marshall said in an interview on KRZK’s “At Your Service” program that county had eight confirmed cases with one fatality. Marshall also reported that one of the cases had recoverd from the virus.
Elsewhere, Stone County in Missouri remains at three cases while in Arkansas, Boone also has three cases while Carroll and Newton Counties remain at one each. Searcy County still reports six cases with Baxter County now reporting five positive cases of COVID-19.
