A second case of COVID-19 has been reported in Taney County.
A release from the Taney County Health Department this morning indicated that this is not a travel related case and that all contacts have been notified by TCHD and are in a 14 day quarantine as a precautionary matter.
TCHD also states in the release that they believe the community risk to be low due to the fact that the individual self-quarantined at the outset of symptoms.
“The individual who tested positive has been notified and is currently following isolation guidelines” said Tiffany Bullock, Public Health Nurse Specializing in Communicable Disease Investigation for the Taney County Health Department.
Taney County Health Officials continue to stress the guidelines for preventing COVID-19 including avoiding large gatherings, practicing Social Distancing, washing hands often, and staying home if you feel sick.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson in his Press Conference today said the number of Missouri COVID-19 Cases is now up to 838 while Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson reported in his Press Conference today that there are now 404 cases in Arkansas.
