The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have a series of road closures scheduled over the next few weeks.
Highway 165/265 over the Table Rock Dam will be closed to traffic Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 pm to 6 am both days and the same time frame again on April 11.
The closure is required to facilitate the heavy equipment needed for the installation of an intake gate on the dam according to a release from the corps.
Meanwhile, another area dam also has a road closure scheduled to begin on Monday. Highway 178 over the Bull Shoals Dam will be closed beginning at 8:00 am Monday and closed through 5:30 pm on Tuesday to remove equipment used during maintenance on the Dam’s Gates. According to a release from the corps, travel to locations on Hwy 178 past the Bull Shoals dam closure will require a detour using Highway 178 through Bull Shoals and Flippin to U.S. Hwy 62-412, Highway 126 through Midway, and Highway 178 through Lakeview.
Both closures have been coordinated with local Emergency and Law Enforcement Agencies.
Officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regret any inconvenience this may cause.
