While the strongest part of Thursday’s Storms through Northern Arkansas stayed south of the Harrison Area, Harrison Firefighters were among a group of Emergency Responders that helped in storm recovery efforts.
According to a post on the Harrison Fire Department Facebook Page, Harrison units were first called out to assist Valley Springs Firefighters to help in the Everton area with the tornado that struck that area. Other emergency responders from both Boone and Newton Counties including Sheriff personnel as well as firefighters from Harmon and Western Grove and EMS from North Arkansas Regional Medical Center were among those that responded to the storm clean-up.
The post goes on to say that Harrison Firefighters among other responders moved on later to Marion County to assist with the storm response in that area.
Harrison Firefighters also assisted Alpena Firefighters earlier in the day with a Water Rescue.
