Flash Flood Watch Thursday for Much of the Lakes Region

More heavy rain is expected in the Lakes Region Thursday which has prompted a Flash Flood Watch to be issued by the National Weather Service.

The Watch, which takes effect at 1:00 Thursday Morning, includes all of the Branson Lakes Region including Taney, Stone, Barry, Ozark, and Douglas Counties in Missouri as well as the Harrison Area including Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties.

According to a statement from the Weather Service, multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will bring moderate to heavy rainfall to the region with rain amounts of one to two inches with localized amounts of three inches possible over areas that have received significant amounts of rain.

Flood Advisories remain in effect for Barry County as well as Eastern Taney County and all of Douglas and Ozark Counties until 8:00 this evening based on some of the rainfall that occurred early this morning.
