by: Scott McCaulley

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for parts of the Missouri Lakes Region today.

The advisory does include the Branson Lakes Area of Taney and Stone Counties as well as Douglas and Ozark Counties until 10:00 tonight.

Some areas have received a half to an inch of rain already and rain fall totals of up to an inch and a half more could fall during the day.

Areas to watch according to the weather service advisory include low water crossings on Highway 413 around Railey Creek and Pine Run between Reeds Spring and Galena as well as Highway FF along Turkey Creek and Hunter Creek east of Ava.

A Flood Advisory for Western Missouri Counties including Barry in the Lakes Region is in effect until 9:45 this evening.

After a break in the rain on Sunday, more showers are expected in the Region starting Sunday evening and going through much of next week.
