A man from Lampe sustains serious injuries in a traffic accident on Highway 86 near the Long Creek Bridge Monday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 9:15 just west of the Bridge near the Taney/Stone County line when a pick-up truck driven by 42-year-old Jose Colon ran off the highway and into a residential building.
Colon, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his injuries.
According to a post on their Facebook Page, firefighter from Southern Stone County as well as from Western Taney County were on hand to assist at the accident scene.
