The North Arkansas College Lady Pioneers were in the National Junior College Division Two Basketball Tournament one of the three years they hosted the event at Pioneer Pavilion. Though the event has moved to Michigan for this year’s, the Lady Pioneers will hit the road to play more basketball.

In the Plains District Championship Game at Pioneer Pavilion Saturday, North Arkansas College returns to the National Championship Field with a 65-63 win over St. Louis Community College.

The game stayed close with the Lady Pioneers up two at halftime then building the lead to six at the end of three quarters before the Lady Archers got to within two but did not have enough to get the victory.

The Lady Pioneers, 22-6 for the season, will move on to the National Tournament in Port Huron, Michigan March 17-21.
