Valley Springs Unveils New School Branding

Valley Springs School District’s New Logo

Per Press Release:

Valley Springs School District recently unveiled a new branding system for the district comprised of an official district logo along with accompanying mascot logo and emblem. The new branding carries forward the traditions of the Valley Springs School District by utilizing the school’s official green color and tiger mascot in progressive new designs.

Valley Springs School District’s New Mascot Logo

The new Valley Springs School District logo honors the historic “Old Main” building. The campus landmark was built in 1941 through the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and is listed on the National Historic Register as an example of the Arts and Crafts architectural period. The logo features a rendering of the iconic facility and year the school district was established. The historic elements in the logo are complemented by modern lines and contemporary fonts, to create a synthesis of old and new.

An updated tiger icon is the central focus of the school’s new mascot logo which conveys the spirit of the Valley Springs School District through graphic elements, color, and contemporary fonts. The mascot emblem, featuring the initials VS and updated tiger icon, will be used to represent student activities, organizations, and athletic teams.

“We are pleased to introduce the new Valley Springs School District branding to our students, staff, alumni, and the public. The new branding communicates the school’s history and traditions in a modern, progressive way. The new logos will be used internally and externally to identify Valley – more – Springs School District and our students. We are excited to roll out the new branding as we welcome the next School District Superintendent, Dr. Kyle Mallett, on July 1st and dedicate the newlyconstructed high school building later this year. The future is very bright for the Valley Springs School District. We encourage students who are interested in becoming a Valley Springs Tiger to file their school choice forms before the May 1st deadline,” states Judy Green, current Valley Springs Superintendent.

The new branding will be introduced throughout the school district’s facilities and will be integrated into the new Valley Springs High School, currently in the development phase. Transition to the new branding will occur gradually, as materials are replaced or reordered, minimizing impact to the school’s resources.

The new school branding was produced for the Valley Springs School District by local creative agency, Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, who previously developed logo branding systems for other educational institutions including Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, Arkansas State University-Beebe, East Arkansas Community College, and the Ozarka College Aviation program.

Founded in 1870, Valley Springs School District serves 875 students, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, within a 72-square mile area of southern Boone County. Valley Springs Public Schools are located at 7349 School Street in Valley Springs, Arkansas. For more information about the school district, visit valley.k12.ar.us.
