College Basketball Sunday: C of O Split Championship Games, North Ark Sweep Opening Games

A rare Sunday with all area College Basketball Teams in action as part of Postseason Tournaments:

C of O splits their games on the Final Day of the Association of Independent Institutions Postseason Tournament at Lincoln College in Illinois.

The Lady Bobcats win their fourth straight A.I.I. Title as they knock off Vorhees of South Carolina 78-59 behind the 21 points of Tournament Most Valuable Player Abby Oliver.

The Bobcats suffered a tough loss on the Men’s side as a put back shot by sent the host team Lincoln to a 72-71 win, just seconds after C of O had grabbed the lead on a three point shot. Brandt Cochran scored 17 to lead C of O.

Meanwhile, the North Arkansas College Teams open play at Harding University in Searcy in the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament. The Women grabbed an opening round win defeating ASU Mid-South 60-56 while the Men won over Southern Arkansas Tech 104-94. Both teams will return to Searcy on Tuesday to play for the Region 2 Title.
