State Wrestling Recap: Berryville Takes Second In Arkansas

The State Wrestling Championships wrap-up in Arkansas (Little Rock) and Missouri (Columbia) on Saturday.

The Berryville Bobcats claim a second place finish to Pulaski Academy in the Boys 4A Competition led by Individual State Championships for Caleb Record (113), Brett Parsons (152), and Colton Record (285).

Two other wrestlers that took home 2nd Place Medals were Dominic Alvarado (106), and Dominic Henry (120). Other Bobcat Medalist were Dylan Sperduto (4th 126), Carlos Escobar (3rd 160), and Raphael Perez (6th 195).

Berryville did have one wrestler place in the Girls State Meet with Daniella Villegas finishing 4th at 124.

Branson ends up with three Medalist in Class 3 with Kyshin Isringhausen being the top finisher taking 3rd Place in the 113 Weight Class while teammates Christian Cartright and Max Petruccelli finish 4th at 126 and 6th at 170 respectively.

Neosho of the Central Ozark Conference takes home the Class 3 State Team while Monett wins the Class 2 Title for the second year in a row with individual State Titles by Joey Semerad (138) and Harrison Merriman (285) leading the way. The Cubs also collected one 2nd and four 3rd place finishes to help secure the title. Cassville had one wrestler medal with Zach Coenen taking 5th at 195.

In the Girls Competition, Nixa finishes with three medals including a State Championship for Ashlyn Eli at 103.
