High School Wrestling Districts UPDATE

UPDATE: Berryville Takes 4A Conference Title
The Bobcats win the 4A Title at Bauxite taking first at 113 (Caleb Record), 120 (Dominic Henry), 152 (Brett Parsons), 160 (Carlos Escobar), and 285 (Colton Record).
Other top four finishers included Dominic Alvarado (2nd 106), Dylan Sperduto (3rd 126), Tun Oo (4th 170), and Raphael Perez (3rd 195).

The Boys High School Wrestling District take place around the State on Saturday with the top four wrestlers in each Weight Class advancing to the State Tournament next weekend in Columbia.

At the Class 3 District in Lebanon, Branson qualified four wrestlers for state with the top finisher being Max Petruccelli who took home a second place finish at the 170 Weight Class. Other Pirate Qualifiers include Christian Berumen (3rd 220),  Christian Cartright (3rd 126), and Kyshin Isringhausen (3rd 116).

Lebanon took home the team competition ending a long run of district titles by Neosho, who finished second. Branson finished eighth.

Meanwhile in the Class 2 District, Monett edges Pleasant Hill and host Bolivar for the team title.

Monett won four individual District Championships from Matthew Bahl (126), Joseph Semerad (138),  Elias Barrientos (145), and Harrison Merriman (285). Other Monett state qualifiers include Karter Brink (2nd 132), Gunnar Bradley (2nd 152), Ethan Umfleet (2nd 160), and Raymond Villalta (3rd 220).

Among other area teams at the meet, Cassville finishes 8th, Reeds Spring 11th, and Hollister 13th.

Cassville State Qualifiers: Akhilleus Arguelles (3rd 120), Gabe Hunter (4th 138), Logan Tolbert (4th 182), and Zach Coenen (4th 195).

Reeds Spring State Qualifier: Chase Johnson (4th 120)

Hollister State Qualifier: Damien Pera (3rd 126)
