The College of the Ozarks Basketball and Baseball teams were in action this weekend at home.
The Basketball squads came away with four wins in their Bobcat Classic. After rolling to wins over Lincoln Christian on Friday (82-18 Women, 88-58 Men), both teams had to rally to pick up wins on Saturday. The Lady Bobcats fell behind 14 points in the first quarter to Lincoln College before rallying to grab the lead at the end of one then took control of the game winning 85-54 while the Bobcats had a back and forth game with the University of the Virgin Islands before pulling away for a 66-59 win. Grace Stieger led the Lady Bobcats off the bench with 17 points while Treydon Rackley led the Bobcats in their win with 18 points.
On the Baseball Diamond, the Bobcats win two of three games this weekend. On Friday, freshman pitcher Rhett Hill throws a two hit shutout striking out seven as the Bobcats beat Mount Mercy 6-0 while on Saturday, the Bobcats rally with three runs in the last inning with hits by Dawson Nimmo and Max Pulley leading to a 4-3 win with the Bobcats then dropping the final game of the to Texas A & M-Texarkana 8-3.
Meanwhile, North Arkansas College splits their Basketball contests at National Park College in Hot Springs with the Lady Pioneers grabbing a 74-58 while the Pioneers lost 93-81.
Also over the weekend, the Pioneer Baseball Team dropped four games in Mountain Home to Richland College.
