An effort to keep potential members of the work force in the Lakes Region is underway through the Taney County Partnership.
Executive Director Jonas Arjas told Branson Alderman during their regular meeting on Tuesday that Branson, Forsyth, and Hollister High Schools will each host a Taney County Career Day during the first week of March.
The purpose of the event is to educate students about the possibility of achieving their career goals or start the path to their career goals in Taney County.
Arjas said they surveyed high school students in the county that supplied information on what challenges they had plus perceptions on what is and is not available in Taney County for a prospective career.
Area businesses will be on hand to discuss with students the potential opportunities and career paths are available.
Arjas said that there is still availability for businesses to take part in the Career Days. For more information, contact the Taney County Partnership.
