by: Scott McCaulley

The Opening of the College of the Ozarks Baseball Season was unique in that the results and scores for both games Friday were the same as well as for Saturday.

The Bobcats dropped both games of Friday’s Doubleheader to William Penn by 3-2 scores but then won both games of Saturday’s Doubleheader over the visiting Statesmen 4-2.

The first game saw the Bobcats get a 4-0 lead and then hold on as the Statesmen rallied with two in the final inning while in Game Two, the Bobcats rallied from down 2-1 with three runs in the fifth inning then held on in the final four innings to collect the win.

The Bobcats will take their 2-2 record to Oklahoma Wesleyan for a game on Tuesday.
