Winter Weather Update

As of 5:00 around the region, Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for most of the Lakes Region.

The Branson Area including Stone and Taney Counties as well as Christian, Douglas, and Ozark Counties in Missouri and Carroll and Madison Counties in Arkansas are under Winter Weather Advisories for today.

The National Weather Service says a possible 1-3 inch Snow and Sleet accumulations are possible with the highest amounts in Northern Stone as well as all of Christian County in Missouri along with some of the higher terrain areas of Northern Arkansas.

Meanwhile Barry, Lawrence, and Greene Counties including the metro Springfield Area are under a Winter Storm Warning through the day with some areas possibly getting 2-7 inches of Snow and Sleet.

No Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for Harrison or areas to the south and east of Boone County, but mixed winter precipitation is in the forecast for today and tonight.
