Troopers Work a Trio of Accidents in Lakes Region Saturday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works three Traffic Accidents in the Lakes Region Saturday.

The first occurs around 10:00 Saturday morning when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Travis Grier of Merriam Woods began skidding while trying to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line sliding off the left side of the road striking and embankment and began overturning. The vehicle then struck a sign and came to a rest on its top.

Grier sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

A compact SUV vs. pick-up crash about an hour later in Barry County injured one person. The accident occurred on Highway D near Wheelerville when the pick-up driven by 46-year-old Billie Leblanc of Aurora was stopped on the side of the road and struck by the SUV driven by 42-year-old Nisha Good of Shell Knob.

Good sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The final accident happened around 11:20 Saturday Night on the Ozark Mountain Highroad in Taney County when a pick-up driven by 33-year-old Randle Carpenter of Hollister ran over the highway and overturned.

Carpenter sustained moderate injuries and was taken for treatment to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
