For the second week in a row, the College of the Ozarks Basketball teams spent the weekend in Lincoln, Illinois for basketball games Friday and Saturday.
Last week’s games at Lincoln Christian saw C of O take both contests but this weekend at Lincoln College it was a split as the Women grabbed two wins and the men dropped two games.
The Lady Bobcats beat Washington Adventist 84-45 on Friday then Saturday in a back and forth game that saw the Lady Bobcats down one with just under four minutes to play, the Lady Bobcats finished on a 13-5 run to pull out the 74-67 win. Abby Oliver leads the way with 18 points while Grace Stieger off the bench scored 14 points, including five unanswered points as part of the run at the end of the game.
Meanwhile the Bobcats had a tough weekend, losing 108-77 to eighth ranked Washington Adventist on Friday then Saturday in a back and forth game like the Women’s contest, only it was the home team that went on the run and eventually pulled at the 79-69 win. C of O was led in scoring by Klay Barton with 14 points.
The Lady Bobcats are 18-4 for the season while the Bobcats are now 12-10.
The C of O Women play at Southwestern in Kansas Wednesday while both teams are back at home next weekend to host Haskell.
